Member of: LASC Panel (Former)

Since 1994 I have been an elder law attorney focusing my practice on probate, conservatorships, estate planning, powers of attorney, trust administration, mediation and social security disability. I belong to several professional organizations, such as the Los Angeles County Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Estate Planning Council, Southern California Council of Elder Law Attorneys and National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Before working for myself I worked at Bet Tzedek Legal Services, assisting clients in basic matters such as social security benefits, bankruptcy, and landlord-tenant matters.

Prior to attending law school I obtained an M.S. in Labor Studies at UMass Amherst, in Amherst, MA. I worked for unions in the Boston and Los Angeles areas after graduation.

I attended U.C. Berkeley where I finished my degree in Political Science. At U.C. Berkeley my work emphasized economics and the general study of the economic growth in developing countries.

For several years I have served on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court mediation panel and at various times won their awards for most mediations settled (in one year) and largest amount of a settled mediation (for that year).

I am also listed at my website, on,, and The references on LinkedIn speak to how I work with my clients and it is best if I let my clients speak for themselves.

I also publish a weekly blog on issues of relevance to my clientele, which range from taxes to social security to their grandchildren's educational debts.

I have had nine article published in the Los Angeles Daily Journal on the various subjects such as the Probate Court and Medicare.

I speak some spanish but for a case involving spanish speakers either I would provide an interpreter at an additional cost or the parties would have to bring their own interepreter(s).
