Sarah Gayer, CHRP, C.Med., CMC, WFC
Sarah is a Charter Mediator and provides mediation in the workplace, family and elder matters. Sarah has extensive experience in mediation, mediation training, alternative dispute resolution, organizational facilitation and conflict resolution. She works with organizations in mediating conflict, coaching, conducting investigations and providing training. With individuals, couples and groups, she mediates conflicts, assists in parenting plans, prepares clients for financial disclosure, provides conflict coaching. With elders and their families, Sarah works with them to ensure that the elder is being heard. She is also a facilitator, circle facilitator, conflict coach and investigator and mediator in such areas as human rights, harassment and duty to accommodate.
Sarah works in collaboration with other trained professionals, in order to provide her clients with access to the expertise that may be required to facilitate the process more smoothly and at the same time be more cost effective.
Sarah has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from York University; Certificate in Advanced Conflict Management from University of Waterloo; Certificate in Conflict Management from University of Waterloo; Certificate in Advanced Dispute Resolution from York University; Certificate in Dispute Resolution from York University; Circle Facilitator from Peacebuilders Canada; Level 1 and 11 Training In Collaborative Practice from Collaborative Practice Toronto; Certificates in Adult Training from Seneca College, Advanced training in Elder Mediation.
Sarah is a dynamic speaker who has presented at numerous conferences and has been quoted in such media as the Globe and Mail. She has written for various newspapers and blogs.
Sarah is also a Pro Bono consultant for the United Way of Toronto.
Sarah is currently an instructor at University of Toronto Continuing Studies, Human Resources Professional Association and Sheridan Institute .
Sarah is a member of the ADR Institute of Ontario, Human Resources Professional Association, Ontario Association of Family Mediators, Canadian Association of Management Consultants. Sarah is also on the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) rooster as an Independent Complaint Facilitator.
